Services

Everything a site needs to stand.

Four services that fit together. Most clients start with a build and add care afterward; some come to us for one piece because the rest is already handled. We'll tell you which of these you actually need, including when the answer is “fewer than you think.”

Web Design & Build

The centerpiece. A site designed only for you and built by hand.

  • Custom design — no templates, no themes
  • Sub-second load times, verified on real devices
  • Accessible by default (WCAG AA)
  • Content management you can actually use

We don't start with a theme and bend it toward your business. We start with what you sell, who buys it, and what has to happen on the page for someone to pick up the phone. The design follows from that, which is why no two sites we build look alike.

Every build is hand-written, statically rendered where possible, and tested on real devices rather than a desktop browser window dragged narrow. Speed isn't a feature we add at the end — it's a consequence of not shipping four megabytes of plugins you never asked for.

Accessibility is part of the build, not an audit afterward. Real headings, real lists, real focus states, contrast that passes. It costs nothing to do correctly from the start and is expensive to retrofit.

E-commerce

Stores engineered around how your customers actually buy.

  • Story-driven catalogs and category pages
  • One-page checkout tuned against abandonment
  • Inventory, shipping, and tax automation
  • Stripe-powered payments

Most store templates assume a customer who already knows exactly what they want and just needs a grid to find it in. That describes almost nobody. We build category and product pages that answer the questions a real buyer asks before they're willing to spend money.

Checkout is where the money leaks. Every additional field, every surprise at the final step, every forced account creation is a measurable percentage of abandoned carts. We keep it to one page and remove anything that isn't legally or operationally required.

Payments run through Stripe, with the webhook handling built properly — idempotent, verified, and reconciled — so a network hiccup during payment doesn't produce an order nobody can account for.

Hosting & Care Plans

We keep what we build standing — one flat monthly plan.

  • Managed edge hosting with 99.9% uptime
  • Security updates, backups, monitoring
  • Same-day content changes and fixes
  • Monthly performance report in plain English

A website is not a delivery. It's a system that runs continuously, and systems drift — dependencies age, certificates expire, an integration changes its API without telling anyone. Care plans exist because the alternative is discovering all of that during an emergency.

Hosting runs on managed edge infrastructure, so your site is served from close to your visitors rather than from one machine in one city. Backups are off-machine and verified, which is a distinction that matters more than most people realize.

The monthly report is written in plain English, not exported from a dashboard. What changed, what it means, and whether you need to do anything about it.

Brand & SEO

Foundation work: what the site says and how it gets found.

  • Identity, voice, and messaging
  • Copywriting that sells without shouting
  • Technical + local SEO (we know the Triad)
  • Analytics that answer real questions

Search visibility starts with the page being legible to a machine — proper structure, real text rather than words baked into images, and markup that describes what the page actually is. A beautiful site that extracts as a scrambled wall of text will not rank, and no amount of keyword work fixes that.

Local search has its own mechanics, and we know this market. Greensboro, Winston-Salem, High Point, Kernersville — the Triad behaves like one economy and several distinct search markets at the same time.

For analytics we'd rather answer three questions well than produce forty charts nobody reads. Which pages bring people in, what they do next, and where they leave.

Process

How an engagement actually runs.

  1. 01

    Conversation

A call, not a questionnaire. What the business does, who buys, what's working, what's been tried. Most of what determines whether a project succeeds gets decided here, before anything is designed.

  2. 02

    Proposal & fixed price

Scope, timeline, and a fixed number. You approve it before work begins, and it doesn't move unless you ask for something outside the scope — in which case we quote that separately rather than absorbing it into a vague invoice later.

  3. 03

    Design

You see real layouts with your real content, not a stock-photo mockup. Revisions happen here, where they're cheap, rather than during the build where they aren't.

  4. 04

    Build

Hand-written, staged on a private URL you can visit any time. You watch it come together instead of waiting for a reveal.

  5. 05

    Launch

Domain, DNS, certificates, redirects from old URLs, analytics, and structured data. We check the extracted text, not just the rendered page — the site has to mean the same thing to a crawler as it does to a person.

  6. 06

    Care

Optional, and genuinely optional — the site is yours either way. If you take a plan, we handle updates, monitoring, backups, and content changes on a flat monthly fee.

Questions

What people ask before hiring us.

What does a website cost?
A small business site typically runs a few thousand dollars; e-commerce and custom application work runs higher. We quote a fixed price after the first conversation rather than billing hourly, so the number you approve is the number you pay. If a project isn't a fit for our range, we'll say so on that first call rather than after a proposal.
How long does it take?
A straightforward marketing site is usually four to six weeks from approval to launch. E-commerce and custom builds run longer. The single biggest variable is content — projects wait on copy and photography far more often than they wait on development.
Do I own the site?
Yes, entirely. The code, the design, the domain, and the accounts are yours. If you leave, you leave with everything, and we'll help with the handoff. We don't build on proprietary systems that hold your business hostage.
Do I have to buy a care plan?
No. The site works without one. A care plan exists because websites are systems that drift — dependencies age, integrations change, certificates expire — and most businesses would rather not think about that. But it's a service, not a leash.
Can you work with my existing site?
Sometimes. If the underlying build is sound, improving it is usually cheaper than replacing it, and we'll tell you that. If it's a page builder stacked on twenty plugins, honest advice is usually to rebuild — and we'll explain why rather than just asserting it.
Do you work with businesses outside North Carolina?
Yes. We're based in Kernersville and know the Triad well, but the work happens over calls and shared links, and we have clients elsewhere. Local matters for local search strategy, not for whether we can build your site.
What about AI — do you build that?
We do, and we're careful about it. We've put voice agents, automated workflows, and AI-assisted tooling into production. We've also seen enough failure modes to be skeptical of adding AI to something that doesn't need it. If it solves a real problem for you we'll build it; if it's decoration, we'll say that too.
